Here’s how to build the perfect salad in a jar:
Step one: Add your dressing to the bottom of the jar. This will keep all of your salad goodies from getting wilted or mushy.
Step two: Add your hearty ingredients, like chopped carrots, corn, tomatoes, and cabbage. These ingredients will go on top of the dressing, so you want to make sure this layer will hold up to the moisture.
Step three: Add your proteins on top of your veggies, so meats, eggs, tofu, and beans.
Step four: Add your greens and herbs.
Seal and store in the refrigerator. All you have to do when you are ready to eat is open the jar and dump in a bowl.
